All the buildings which make up MarocLodge have been inspired by Berber architecture.

In every living room and bedroom of the bungalow cottage there are large bay windows and terraces so that guests can enjoy unrivalled views of the countryside. The owners are very proud that the lodges were built without breaking a single branch of the hundred-year-old olive trees under which they are nestled.

The architects who planned MarocLodge have done everything possible so that guests can appreciate the natural surroundings.

The stunningly beautiful landscapes make MarocLodge incredibly romantic. Flat grey slate flagstones have been used to construct the terraced roofs and the colours of the thick lodge walls are reminiscent of the earth tones that surround you.

The interior design of Maroc
1Lodge is a fusion of traditional Moroccan design and that of other cultures.

The décor is a harmonious marriage of natural local materials carefully worked by skilled artisans and placed alongside decorative objects brought from other parts of the world. All these beautiful objects once belonged to the founder of the residence.

Each lodge has its own individual décor. The floors are paved with pale pink floor tiles (beijmats) from Meknes and the “zelliges” friezes (colored tiles) are made in Amizmiz in tones of earth, rose, blue or green differing from one villa to other.

The walnut woodwork enhances the beige, salmon or light brown “tadlakt” (traditional wall surface based on lime)

Antique family furniture, such as a Napoleon III Chiffonier, sits side by side with other pieces from the ‘Directoire’ period and original family owned oriental paintings from the thirties.

The contrasts in style give a feeling of refinement and individuality to each cottage
